got another one
I did not like the way Frodo being stabbed by the Morgul blade on weathertop was handled.
In the books he slowly succumbed to the blade's evil, whereas in the movie he is nearly immediately rendered unable to speak and just gasps and screeches. IMO it would have been much more dramatic to show Frodo slowly fading to the influence of the blade bit by bit. Then when he started screeching like a wraith after a couple days it would have been truly eerie because we would have watched his descent.
I know that the film tries to show that a couple days have passed as Strider tries to get them to Rivendell but it is so poorly done that everyone that I know that hasn't read the books thinks it is only one day from the time Frodo gets stabbed until Arwen rushes him to Rivendell. If I hadn't read the book I'm not sure if I'd get it either.
I'm sure the change was made beacuse of time constraints as is the case with most of the things which were changed/omitted. It would still be tough to render a more perfect film than what we got.
