Planar Touchstone feat, Catalogues of Enlightenment, Kobold domain power

I am considering 'picking up the slack' (no rogue in the party) by taking the Planar Touchstone feat, linking it to the Catalogues of Enlightenment, and picking up the Kobold domain power.

That would give me the Trapfinding Class feature and add Search and Disable Device to my class skills list. (unless I missed something)

However, this made me wonder:

Let's say one of the players decides to play a rogue after all after his current character dies.
It is no longer necessary for me to be the trapfinder, so I can switch to a different Domain.

What would happen to my Search and Disable Device? Are my skillpoints turned into cross-class points? Or do they stay the same, but since I no longer have them as class skills, I can't increase them until I have reached double level (assuming I maxed them)?

Your skills remain the same. No sane DM requires, or allows, a retroactive change in class/cross-class status.

You lose the Trap Finding ability though, so those points become more or less wasted, since you can't find any trap with a DC over 20.

The spell Find Traps is Divine and will give you the Rogue ability without needing to use up a feat. The spell will also grant you a bonus to your Search for those traps of 1/2 your caster level so you can save some of your skillpoints.
