Planescape Interlude suggestions needed, please!

My players currently deserve a brief interlude from the current campaign that took them from 1st to 6th level. They're planning on returning to their home in Sigil and nothing more. The last session made it seem that the big threat they were trying to avert was averted (not :)). So for them there is nothing more to do but have a breather, sell loot, etc.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for a short adventure for a group of 5 6th level characters in Sigil? Something that would keep them busy for a couple of sessions? The last couple of sessions were quite combat intensive so a return to a more planar politics oriented adventure would be welcome.

I'm currently drawing a blank and don't have the time to really have a go at it. Suggestions for adaptations for Dungeon adventures are also appreciated I own almost all of the 3.0/3.5 magazines (although I lag by about two magazines currently). Any help is appreciated.

I'd strongly recommend flipping through Monte Cook's Beyond Countless Doorways. There's tons of cool planar adventure ideas (both short and long).

Ronin Arts has two planar products that may prove useful your your planar adventures.

A DM's Directory of Demiplanes details 8 demiplanes that you can toss into your campaign without too much work.

Planar Factions is a bit tougher to work in but there are a lot of adventure ideas in the PDF.

Some other good choices include lots of Planescape products such as Doors to the Unknown.

You can use this search string to find the Planescape PDFs at RPGNow:

Planewalker has a whole lot of adventure hooks available here. Some are more detailed than others. Or you could just browse the planar portals there and see if any interesting entries spark your imagination.

The PS boxed sets for Chaos/Law/Conflict also had a series of short adventures, but I don't know if you own those. Tales from the Infinite Staircase is a great resource for this kind of problem. It's a series of short adventures that are tied together by a thread but can be interspersed between other adventures. You can buy it from svgames for like $5.

One of those PS module books (I can't think of the name off-hand) has several short adventures. One of them involves going to Ysgard to pick up a Yule log. Only, the thing is the size of a bus. When we played that one, we ended up crashing it through the front of a very posh restaurant on the way back. That's a good little adventure.

A really good adventure for Planescape is The Eternal Boundary. It's a lower lvl adventure, but it's easy to convert into a 6th lvl one. It can be done in 2 sessions if your players are the type to just plow through something. It's based in Sigil and a little trip to the El. Plane of Fire.

Another Planescape module in Sigil is Harbinger House. I've never ran that one, but I always hear great things about it. I think it takes PC's to a couple of other places besides Sigil, but I'm not sure. This one might be a bit longer than 2 sessions though.

Besides the numerous published adventure-series like: Into The Abyss, Fires of Dis, Something Wild, etc., here are a few quick sidetreks i've done in the past:

> One of the gate towns slides over unexpectedly into its respective plane, taking along a PC's loved one with it. Preferably a nasty little town like Limbo or Ribcage.
> An innocuous item the PCs are carrying (magical boots, a map of Fortitude, blond hair, whatever) turns out to be a portal key which unexpectedly whisks the party to an inner planar location when they enter it.
> A chaos imp invades the paladin's sword. It demands to be brought to Hades, the Abyss, the Beastlands (anywhere but Limbo) where it joins a growing number of imp emigres (who just happen to be warring with the planar natives).

It's in Well of Worlds and it's called Snipe Hunt. I've run it twice and it's a great adventure (and very easy to convert to 3.x)

Cheers
