Here's my event info:

Mercury & Intuition

Three European Union officials are dead. Each was shot in the head but forensics cannot find the bullet and local police have no suspects. To make it worse, a virus corrupted their backups and they cannot be recorporated--they are really dead. All three were pivotal to an upcoming vote on some anti-religion legislation. Faith-based terrorism is suspected but has not been confirmed, which is why we were given this case.

Your job is to nvestigate the three assassinations; figure out how they were done; figure out where this virus is coming from; arrest the people responsible for both; and do it within 48 hours, before the vote on the legislation. We will not let religious terrorists dictate our laws!

TRIUNE is a roleplaying game combining real religions, science fiction, and detective work. Humanity opened gates to Heaven and Hell, and now the faithful can use prayers to alter reality. The government has made all religions illegal for fear of these powers, driving faiths underground. Players take roles as government agents investigating religious offenses. Of course, players are also secretly for one religion and have those prayer powers too. Will you work together with other PCs or will you stab them in the back? It's up to you.

System: Triune
Players: 6
Time: PM

  • Pregens will be provided.
  • Familiarity with the rules is not necessary.
  • Any age can play but, because the game uses real religious issues, maturity is required.
  • Quickstart rules in PDF format can be found at my website.
  • I'd like a table with cake. I like cake.
  • I'll post a link to pregens as soon as I've made them.
  • Buzz, I'll get you an image as soon as I can find one.

If you are willing, it might not be a bad idea. I'm not seeing a big rush to fill the afternoon.

I am not sure how much interest there might be but let me run one past you (and the other folks in the thread). I have a game called Chevalier, Tales of Charlemagne. It uses my Iridium Lite engine. It has been playtested a few times but has not been released. It would be a rather old school trad fantasy romp to destroy some good old fashioned evil. Do you think that would get anyone?

Alternatively, considering my anger at SGU I am tempted to run a Star Gate Universe game with my new shiney Object Mechanic system. Do you think anyone would be interested in such a thing?

Either way, Bill, I think you'd have people eager to play. Gameday seems to have a HinterWelt contingent now. :)

The Charlemange idea is more interesting to me, but I'll be running an event then.

Looks like we could use maybe one more event in the morning and two in the afternoon. I'll send out a quick notice to the mailing list.

Those who have already submitted events, please get your descriptions in when you can.

Oh, and I'm real close to deciding what to run! Any minute now!
