Player has a super rogue, DM needs help.

How about putting him up against creatures/NPCs with blind fight? Or even really high listen checks in order to hear movement? Another option is to use a creature or spellcaster with blindsight, so his hiding won't help him whatsoever. I'd also recommend looking into the glitterdust spell.

I could be mistaken, but I always thought that blindsight doesn't help against "normal hiding." I mean, blindsight doesn't exactly give a 3d map of the area and singles out anomalies. But I'm probably wrong.

If the Sneak Attacks get irritating, use undead, constructs, and elementals against him - all of which are immune to sneak attacks.

Yes, but you can't constantly use those type of creatures against him, I think he's looking for a more universal solution.

I think talking to the player could help, but that depends on the player.

You could always have him disintigrated :).

Morpheus: A Vampire would be immune to sneak attacks anyway. Also, their =8 racial bonus (IIRC) will help them see the guy coming.

I like the vampire idea. Odds are the rogue won't even know it isn't a normal human until it is too late.

Detect Magic (or worse, Arcane Sight) is the bane of twinky rogues.

Any mage capable of casting permenance is gonna see him glow like a light bulb.

Use creatures with the Scent and/or Blindsight abilities. As for getting rid of the ring, have a much higher level NPC mug him (how do you think those high level rogues get all of that treasure?:D )

yup scent will smell those pesky invis creatures and go right after them...i am sure he won't last long when he tries to backstab a grey renderer..
