Hey all,
I have seen many "classic" D&D games floating about, but I am fairly tired of your standard Fantasy trope. My interests lie more in the Victorian-age, or at least, something beyond the standard fantasy world.
In particular, Iron Kingdoms has my interest because it is a Steampunk-style game where monsters are people too. Eberron also seems a likely candidate, although I'm not very familiar with the setting at large. I'm also a "shades of grey" type player where alignment means nothing more than describing how your character acts (there are no in-game, mechanical benefits/detriments of alignments in my homebrew games, with some exceptions).
Even modern or sci-fi settings would be interesting so long as I'm not required to know the entire canon of a world (lookin' at you, Forgotten Realms and the Babylon 5 threads).
