DM only and pretty much like it that way.

I play very occasionally - like once a year just to gain insight to things from a player's perspective. In other words I only play to make myself a better DM, if that makes sense.

So, by the sound of it, I should have put an option that you would like to play but can't. Sucks to be you guys.

Some people are too good at what they do. If they'd kill off players arbitrarily more often, others would jump in just to make the hurting stop. :]

It's 50/50 for me at this point - play in one campaign and DM the other.

I tried to expand that to play in 3 games last year, but that was an unmitigated disaster - it just took too much time. Running one and playing in one seems to be just right for me.

So, do any of you ever have a problem playing or dm'ing and thinking that the other DM is doing all wrong. Or is that just not an issue to any of you.

Makes perfect sense. I'm a GM only in a broad variety of systems. I love to tell stories, and entertaining my friends is a treat. I'm going to be playing in a session of Paranoia that one of my players is going to run just to be able to kick of the GM mantle for once and have a little wierd fun. Been doing this for a long time... I'm comfortable in the GM's chair. ;)
