So, do any of you ever have a problem playing or dm'ing and thinking that the other DM is doing all wrong

Yeah; I've got a problem with other DMs. The lazy ****'s can never seem to make a campaign last more than 3 sessions! Unemployed bachelor bums, staying in their smelly, little flats playing online RPGs all day and night, claiming they don't have the time to prepare for sessions... Stranding me -who is selfemployed and have two children still in diapers- with the DMing job 99% of the time!!!

(End rant mode) Phew! Good to get that off my chest... :) Seriously, the guys I play with are all very good friends of mine and I like 'em a lot. And I love DMing! Still' I wish I could get to be a player a lot more than I have been...

I have that problem. But in a different way. I think that my DM is great at his job, but doesn't have the same perspective for the game. If we play, then I do it for fun, and I enjoy an acasional joke. He kills me when I joke. During the luch, I kick some others but for it tho, so I geuss I can't really talk.

I play in one weekly game and GM another. Although in the group I GM for we switch GMs every 3-6 months - 3 of the 6 of us enjoy GMing... I like both pretty much equally. Find them rewarding and entertaining in different ways. Unless the GM is sucky, which is a problem I've fortunately not had in quite a long time.

Think web sites for games tend to attract more GMs than players. IME, most GMs are a bit more 'into the system' than the players. And you have to be pretty keen about a game to spend a good deal of time talking about it?

I really kinda hate to have others tell me that I have it all wrong tho, I think I mentioned my brother doing this. I kinda dislike dm'ing for other dm's tho, becuase if you screw it up, then EVERYONE will know. needless to say, I am not the best DM, and often have to "fudge" the rolls becuase I don't know the actuall truth of the matter.
