Player wants to be with the bad guys

Haven't read the whole thread, but have you thought about telling him this:

"I'm willing to make a try, but don't expect to live long. We could let you play what you want to play, but you would be a double agent. You main goal is never to let the other PCs find out your true nature and you will have to go on with their plans until the end of the campaign where you will betray them in a planned way."

This could make things very interresting, if your player is not dumb. He could also be a primal species or whatever that someone on the evil side has decided to trust and so he does really belong to the PCs camp while serving a secret agenda against them.

Ok maybe I am not pointing out how over the top evil these people are... No player wants to deal with the "shades of grey" with them... It is ok to kill them because they are that evil... I even in my cpaign write up list them as always chaotic evil... Like demons

Then he should accept it, and not play this character. I'm a firm believer that the needs of the group outweigh the needs of the individual. In fact, a while ago I had a long debate over this topic on this very board. My opponent was convinced that any player should be able to play whatever character he wanted, and if the group didn't compromise to allow his concept, they were being jerks.

Oh wait, my opponent in that debate was -you-.
