Well it's been over 24 hours. Think it needs a...BUMP!
You know, you could probably replace 90% of your posts in this thread with just the word "PIMP." It would have the overall same effect. ;)

Eh. Maybe next time pants. :D ;)

Btw Will, if you're still there, mind if you comment on what was your favorite parts to write about?

Will, I really liked your stuff in F&B. It was a fun read back when I was writing some of the prestige classes. As far as the stuff I worked on I had the most fun writing the Whitefur. The ideas and words just seemed to flow. I also had a lot of fun just sitting down with the other main rules writer, Werner and just talking about ways to work things.

I hope people like all the crunchy bits, I tried to make them as interesting and balanced as I could.

I'll let you know Jeff when I get the book. Btw when PG: Rangers and Rogues comes out, let me know what you think of my contributions. :)

Favorite part. Hmm. The feats were a lot of fun, as were some of the fiddly weapon bits I mentioned, like the pistol grip (called bent grip since, well, there are no pistols in SL.)

I also liked little thought experiments, like evil characters who support ostensibly good regimes. The mercenary groups that I pretty much made up allowed a bit more freedom.

I had a lot of fun overall, though. ;)

Sweet! Thanks Will for your input. When I get the book I'll be sure to let you know what I think. Especially regarding the merc sections.

Btw this is a PIMP ehrm Bump. ;)

No folks I don't have the book yet. I will say what people have mentioned about makes me want it EVEN more. :) And yes this is a PIMP/BUMP. ;)

I picked it up at Gen Con. I hadn't heard about it at all, but when I saw it, the only thing I could think was, 'It couldn't be worse than Masters of the Wild ...'

Finally, a book for barbarians that doesn't stink! Actually ... make that ... 'Finally, a book for barbarians!'

*smiles* Welll that's nice to hear. Certainly I hope it's a book both fighters and barbarians can enjoy. I'll post my opinions on it when I get the book.

I was at one of my local stores last Friday and looking over this.

It seemed 90% Scarred Lands related flavor text, and 10% crunch. Not sure how much of that flavor text I could extract to say... Kalamar.

I didn't get it, mostly because of budget at the moment. But I'm not sure it's going to be high on my list if there's so little crunch. For flavor text - my needs are in the setting I use.

-shrug-

It'd be nice to see a very in depth review done by someone using it in a setting other than Scarred Lands though, to see how easy they found it to get use out of all that flavor text.
