In my Forgotten Realms campiagn, I have a Divine Diciple, a Divine Champion, A Shadow Dancer, and a Weapon Master (Sword). The party has attained 14th level after 4 years of play.

I had a chance to play a Mystic Theurge through all 10 levels (Drd 3/Wiz 3/MT 10). It was a blast - great PrC, that.

I've had a few characters heading towards some of those PrC's (Loremaster, Arcane Trickster) but for some reason or another, it never happened.

I had an Elderich Knight who was heading for Arcane Archer as well, but never made it there (Was 2 levels short of taking the first AA level). I've also designed a shadowdancer, and I have a character aiming for it, but never actualy have played it either. I have another character who will likely take a few levels in Loremaster, but again, he's not there yet. I also have designed a character aiming for dualist, and another who is a dualist. Again, never gotten to play one though.

I like many of the DMG PrCs. The Hirophant and Thaumatugest seem a little odd to me, but the others I think work fairly well and are generaly balanced.

In our group, we've had players take arcane archer, assassin, blackguard, and dwarven defender; I've personally played an arcane archer. We made the blackguard into a core class to match the paladin. If someone wants to play a PrC, we either pick from the large list of homebrew classes, pick something from another source, or make one up (which is what I usually end up doing).

In my entire 3.X experience I have seen players take only about three or four PrCs, and I cant remember the name of a few of them. Umm that priest one from MotP, Arcane Trickster (pre-3.5 version), Legendary Dreadnaught (Epic) [though this one was a cohort...], and I can't think of any more...

As a player, I've only got a Order of the Bow Initiate, and he's only got 2 levels of the class. I've got a Warmage/Favored Soul that will eventually become a Mystic Theruge. However, I'm primarily a DM, and I've seen a number of PrC from my players.

I've a Drd/Wiz/MT/ArcH right now (Races of the Wild came out at MT1, I was so happy). Loremaster is something I've also almost played, the DM moved before I got that level :(

Almost all of the ones listed. The only ones I haven't played are the Archmage, Assassin, the Duelist, the Dwarven Defender and the Red Wizard. I did have the opportunity to play a Red Wizard once, with aspirations of workink for or under Tam, but the game never came together.

I generally DM, but occasionally get a one shot out of my players.

During which I've played an Assassin/Blackguard of Mask, a Whirling Dervish of a gypsy, and a Bladesinger bard.

I didn't vote for what I've had as NPC's, but I would like to say that I have at least one Hierophant NPC. However, that NPC is over 20th level - where the Hierophant class is better than the Archmage, in my opinion. Other than that, I've used Eldritch Knights, Spellswords, Archmagi, Duelists, and a number of other prestige classes.

My players, meanwhile...let's see. A Loremaster, a Shadowdancer, an Animator, an Unfailing, a Deepwoods Sniper...and possibly a few more. I'm not overly restrictive with the prestige classes, so more than a few have been used by my players.

I've only GMed except for one game that broke up before we were at levels where we could think about PrCs, so I didn't vote since I can't answer the question as worded.

Out of that list, I've seen a grand total of one character use one of those classes, an Arcane Archer. Unfortunately his experience of it was pretty similar to Psion's player who also tried it.

I have used Shadowdancers a couple of times. That's a *rude* PrC for NPCs, especially when you give a shadow dragon multiple levels of it. Drove my players nuts both times it happened.

There was one player who was shooting for Arcane Trickster, but the player left and the character died (in that order) before this could come to fruition.
