Playing "Good Guy" NPCs

Anyways, have you encountered this in your sessions? Do you enjoy/have an easier time playing bad guy NPCs than good guy NPCs? Any suggestions or comments?
No, I find they're about the same for me. That is, I don't run a game where things are clearly black/white on the morality scale; the PCs are surrounded by grays, and who the bad-guys are isn't always clear or obvious. Indeed, sometimes the villains are "good" (i.e., the extremely Lawful religion that's pushing out other religions and gaining more political strength) while some allies are "evil" (i.e., the brutal general that will retake the city at all costs and restore the heir to the throne).

Barastrondo, you are doing great violence to my picture of the stereotypical drama-queen White Wolf gamer. Stop it.

Check it out. White Wolf employees at the Renaissance Faire. With pictures.

Justin does say "play D&D" in a perjorative fashion in his introduction, but just between you and me, last time I saw him he was rolling d20s and pretending to be a bad man doing evil things to elves at a friend's cookout/D&D one-shot.

PS. Having now seen Underworld _and_ Van Helsing (twice each, even), I am now convinced that the oughties will be the decade of vampires and werewolves. I am so playing the wrong game. I can only presume that d20 Vampire: The Requiem is just around the corner, yes?

Not by traditional definitions of "just," "around," or "corner," no.

Thanks for all the replies everyone.

As an afterthought, I find it much easy roleplaying as a PC than roleplaying NPCs.

In my campaign, there are 2 "good" NPCs, a fighter and cleric. In my opinion, based on my own critique of my roleplaying, there is probably no way to tell the 2 characters apart unless I say before hand: The fighter starts speaking and says or The cleric turns to you and begins to say.

Sorry for the Off-Topic post, but they should make a movie based on the comic book "30 Days of Night".

Or even an adventure module, hehe.
