Playing Undead?

Are there any published rules for playing undead in 3.5? If so, where?

What are you thoughts on playing undead characters in 3.5?

Since he was in charge of handling a scarred lands book I was a contributing author on, does that mean I was a minion of the undead?

I have seen the material in both LM and BoVD but neither had what I was looking for, which is something more like what Savage Species did. I will have to give Ghostwalk and Undead by AEG a look-see.

That all said, what do you think thematically about running undead characters?

Yeah, I looked at my LM last night and they had level progressions for only a few undead - wights, mohrg, vampire spawn and mummies. Kinda weak. What made me laugh was they on several occasions try to point you towards Savage Species to work out the rules.

There's also the Deathless type in "Book of Exalted Deeds" for a good-undead creature.
