I'm dreading that it's some kind of "crouching tiger, hidden dragon" wuxia move.

Seriously, I'm more and more worried that 4e is going to be Oriental Adventures or something.

Y'know, I'm just not sure why you aren't a little more worried that 4e is going to be more like Barbarella : Queen of the Galaxy than Oriental Adventures.

I'm interested in the at will ability which breaks enemy flanking?
It might not involve moving your enemies or allies around. It could simply be some kind of distracting attack or taunt which causes an enemy to focus all his attention on you and prevents him from threatening (and thus flanking) your ally.

Cause that would be the best game ever made?

Don't worry. You can get out of flanking without wuxia. A little agility and sidestepping is not the same thing as stomping on the ground to cause a floor tile to seesaw and knock you up into the air so you somersault over your enemy, simultaneously escaping his flank and catching him by surprise so you can attack him from behind.

D&D 4e will no doubt allow for wuxia, but it won't require it.

It's about the naming more than anything else. Being able to allow others to flank is fine, but calling it a 'power' is a misnomer. It should be called a manuever or something different, otherwise it sounds magical or mystical.

I agree. Maneuver (and Stance) sound like good words. Mechanically though, it's still a kind of power. (One of the problems we face is when reading the designers blog is that we are seeing mostly the purely mechanical view on it.)
