Playtest: Martial Power 2

Different subsystems for the same concept this early? Yikes. Stick with the multiclass weapon feats please. And name all these feats that alter at-wills something so when I open the CB 3/4 of the heroic tier are not of that kind.
Wouldn't it be easier to just deselect those feats from MP2 on the Character Builder (Manage -> Campaign Settings -> Restrictions)?

For myself, as many as it takes to allow DMs and groups to customize the mechanics to fit their preferences. Who knows? Perhaps if, eventually, provide options to fix my dislikes, I might make the switch to 4e.
That would be very silly, because then they'd just be trading a group of proven customers (those who like the simplicity and balance of the 4e ruleset) for a group of potential customers (those who like the customisability and simulation of 3e).

Unless of course they have information that the latter are a much larger group than the former...

And, my reply would be that you don't have to use every option that they release. Ignore any products or material that you do not like.

And, my reply to that would be that's fine, if you can get away with it. Not everyone has the luxury of just ignoring rules they don't like (RPGA gamers, users of the Character Builder, etc).

I like feats that modify at wills but I'll agree with the group that these didn't do much for me.

My big thing is why do they have to be so specific with the at-wills? for example, the feat that gives +2 damage vs slowed or immobilized creatures. That one doesn't need to be limited to sure strike (aka useless), that's not an automatic pick if it could apply to any one at will.

Or even if they just put it on a more commonly used (read: useful) at-will like Cleave, or Reaping Strike, it would be more worthwhile. But I agree, it's still way too specific to be on an at-will, especially at higher levels when you are using any given at-will power maybe 2-3 times in an encounter (except certain builds focusing on their at-wills, and picking immediate and minor actions for encounter powers, such as "the immediate" Ranger). To add insult to injury, you have to be using a two handed axe, a very specific weapon group.

They may as well add to these feats: "This feat only works on the second friday of every month."
