Please clarify Overrun/Charge for me

Sheesh. I sure must have that Overrun thing all wrong. My memory is telling me that this has been discussed before in a possible way to bypass the 'can't charge through a friendly square' restriction on charges. That is, Overrun a friendly who would of course let you by.... But that doesn't work.

From what my little brain recalls of that recent thread, you can use a charge action to Overrun an opponent, but can't charge another opponent once the Overrun is complete (though you can keep moving for the remainder of your movement). Basically, it's the non-tumbler's way to get through an opponent to the guy in the rear rank.

That is you are using the charge to improve your Overrun prospects.

So, my answers would be:

1) No.
2) Definitely (the whole reason for the Overrun during the charge in the first place is to get the charge bonuses on your Overrun attempt).
3) No.
4) No.

A charging character gets a +2 bonus on the Strength check made to bull rush or overrun an opponent (see Bull Rush, above, and Overrun, below).

You can attempt an overrun as a standard action taken during your move, or as part of a charge. (In general, you cannot take a standard action during a move; this is an exception.) With an overrun, you attempt to plow past or over your opponent (and move through his square) as you move. ...

The overrun is done a part of the move part of the charge, thus you may iverrun AND charge the your target.
