Please help my swordsage

WarlockLord

First Post
Hello. We have just reached 4th level, and I am leveling up. The other character in the party is a human psychic warrior2/fighter 2 spiked chain tripper with expansion. I am a human swordsage

I have the following:
Skills (all maxed out with 6 ranks) Concentration, Climb, Jump, Hide, Move Silently, Spot, Listen, and Tumble

Feats: Adaptive Style, Improved Initiative, Weapon Focus (shadow hand), Weapon Finesse

Manuevers (Don't laugh)
Boosts:
Burning Blade (1st)
Sudden Leap (1st)

Counters:
Moment of Perfect Mind (1st)

Strikes:
Clinging Shadow Strike (1st)
Wolf Fang Strike (1st)
Mighty Throw (1st)
Mountain Hammer (2nd)
Flashing Sun (2nd)*
Hatchling's Flame (2nd)*

Stances:
Child of Shadow (1st)
Step of the Wind (1st)

Insightful Strike (Shadow Hand)*

*denotes something I picked during leveling, and can change. My DM has my character sheet.

The campaign so far has been sneaking around Waterdeep, but my DM is fond of mook fights. I am considering changing out Hatchling's Flame for Cloak of Deception, and keeping my insightful strike as is to boost ability damage strikes. Should I switch out Flashing Sun for Drain Vitality?

Thoughts?

No Sapphire Nightmare Blade? Forshame! Not only is it a cool manuever (well, +1d6 damage and an effective average of +2 to hit), it's got one of the most awesome names ever. In fact, most of the Diamond Mind and Shadow Hand maneuvers have fantastic names.

I'd pick up something like Emerald Razor or Clever Positioning; both have served my Swordsage well. Oh, I almost forgot: Action Before Thought. Max out your concentration score and get all the "make a concentration check instead of X" maneuvers.

Tumble everywhere, once you get a +14 modifier to Tumble, that is. Get 5 ranks in Balance for the synergy.

Wow. Except for one or two skill points, feats, and maneuvers being shifted around, the similarities between this and one of the characters in the campaign I run is uncanny. We even have lots of mook fights, just went up to level 4, and have a Fighter2/Psychic Warrior 2 Human Spiked Chain Tripmonkey who likes the Expansion power. Our swordsage even prefers the shortsword (although he uses 2 of them)...

No Waterdeep, though.

Deja vu, I guess.
