Imagine this feat in the hands of an incantatrix

What about it?

An Incantatrix is more likely to apply (for the same +3 effective levels) Empower three times, than Admixture once.

Let's see, 250% damage with the Empowers ... or 200% damage with the Admixture.

The prereq puts a bit of a damper on this one. You are sinking a lot of metafeats into suboptimal choices. I suppose if everything is a sonicball you can avoid resistances. I guess how much you like this feat depends on how much you like sonic attacks. This feat is essential a variant double empower. You can admix a fireball with fire or double empower it and it does 20d6 fire either way. The twist with this less flexible feat is you can mix energy types. If you can design spells you just design spells with metamagic feats built in. Gold is cheaper than feats.

If you couldn't double empower spells, this would be better than a '4.' But you can so it isn't.

Empower does the same job (in terms of damage) and is more flexible.

This feat is only better than Empower in very very limited situations:

A level 13+ wizard (a sorceror could just double empower and energy substitute the spell on the fly and would thereby either only face elemental resistance once (this spell has the potential to face it twice--a demon with fire and acid resist 20 for instance would likely resist 40 points of damage from an acid admixed fireball instead of 20) or could avoid it for the entire damage of the spell) who didn't know what foes he would be facing might use an admixed spell to be certain of having some damage type that would effect his opponents handy. Usually, however, this is not the case:
-Most creatures have multiple elemental resistances thus making this spell worse than a double empowered spell (see above)
-If one knows what one is facing, one could just energy substitute the whole spell and thereby avoid the elemental resistance entirely.
-If one doesn't know what one's facing, this is a bad feat for playing the odds. Substituting the whole spell to sonic damage would be better.

It is not a powerful feat. It is definitely stylish but considering even maximizing a spell costs three levels higher, you are much better off spending your four level higher slot on another spell, metamagically enhanced or normal. This can never be the equal of persistent spell. I know they are different type Meta feats but just consider the possibilities with each one.

Two things make this feat a seven.

1 WotC is coming to the realization that stacking MM is nonsense
2 Epic IMM(which is broken)

at +4 levels its a bit weak.

Take a fireball that now is a fire/sonic ball it does 20d6 nice and is at a minimum a 7th level spell or a minimum 13th level caster. Nice maybe but empower a cone of cold at the minumum level and you get 19d6, one level above min and the empowered cone of cold beats its damage, has a higher save DC and only costs one feat. Even without stacking metamagic it looses out to empower, with stacking it gets blown away.
