Please rate my first monster and say how i can improve it

I would pretend that I was joking when I put that up and that I was actually pretending that it was a feat to see if anyone would be good enough to notice however to be perfectly honest I have never heard of an Extraodinary ability. They sound cool though (I bet this is basic DM knowledge and that everywhere people will be reading this and will be going into a state of shock). However reading your advice, I have used the Hatch eggs feat, extraodinary ability thingy on other monsters at home and to be honest, I can think of plenty of monsters that would benefit from it. Like a magic chicken. I don't think being able to lay eggs is that extraodinary anyway and I doubt that this FEAT is exclusive to butterflies. Hey I know....

Seems that a Maneuverability category is needed for the flight speed
Also the damage is higher then normal for a 3HD swarm
BAB for 3HD vermin shouldn't be +4, it should be +2
Fine swarms usually take no damage from weapons
For blister you mention the save is con based, but don't list a DC or what type of save it is or what happens if the save is made

Dear, dear , dear. AM I CURSED?!WHY AM I CURSED WITH SUCH INEPTITUDE!

I can only answer one of the above statements. The reason I didn't want there to be no weapon damage was because I thought that could make it too challenging for a level 3 character as the only way to damage them then would be magic. Personally I think that that idea is pretty unfair anyway, because what if you had a party with only barbarians (unlikely yes) or people without magic. You'd have an invincible bug swarm on your hands (YIKES!!!). I'll change the other suggestions though, but I don't know what BAB is. Is it base attack???? Thanks a lot P.S I thought 13000 posts was scary!!! P.P.S I am pretty rubbish with monster statistics and it would help if you wrote out thinks in full, like BAB. What is that exactly? I know that to most DMs this is probably pretty basic and I understand that it must be real boring to write out everything in full, but please do cos otherwise I don't know what you're on about. yep. Base Attack Bonus. In this case, it would be +1. Although, since swarms hit every time they share space with another creature, BAB is irrelevant here.

the base attack bonus is a number derived solely from a combination of the type of creature (or character class), and how many Hit Dice (or levels) it has. added on to that, are any bonuses due to ability scores, size, or other modifiers as appropriate.

Regarding the hatch eggs "feat"... feats are typically something that a monster could acquire when advancing in levels, and is usually independent of creature species or type. If it's something they're born with, it should probably be a Special Ability. Unless you'd really like your Ftr4 Orcs to be able to pick up the "hatch eggs" feat...

You may want to consider dropping the Blister effect. The DC 10 Fort save is far too weak, compared to the DC 18 for the Poison, and the effect is fairly minimum and requires too much bookkeeping. It's also not clear to me how blisters would specifically slow movement but have no other effect.

If you do want to keep the blisters for flavor, consider adding them to the Poison. You could either say that victims of the poison are covered in blisters and leave it at that (i.e., flavor only, no additional game mechanism), or simply add a 5' movement penalty to the initial damage.

Your AC is off by quite a bit: shoudl be 10 + 8 size + 2 Dex = 20

Base Attack should be +2 (Vermin BAB is 3/4 HD)

A swarm composed of Fine or Diminutive creatures is immune to all weapon damage, not just 1/2 damage.

Clearly you didn't bother to read the rest of the thread. As I said before, I am inexperienced and don't know what these abbreviations mean. What does Ftr mean???What on earth does it mean! I hate to say this but if you use abbreviations your comments don't mean anything to me because I don't know them. How do I know what I should change if you give me it in DMspeak? Its bit like me just suddenly talking in japanese and expecting you to understand. Sorry but it annoys me greatly when people do that. It makes me feel so rubbish and stupid and idiotic.

Anyway I think the rest of your comment is completely valid and you have convinced me that I should change the feat (despite the abbreviation). I will change the blisters and make them an add on of the poison and the AC however...

I will not change the swarm immunity effect because as previously stated in this thread, I think it makes the swarm to powerful for low levellers or invincible to those without magic or fire. OK!!! OK!!!!!!!!!!

NOTE TO COMMENTORS. PLEASE READ THE THREAD BEFORE COMMENTING TO SAVE ME REPEATING MYSELF. PERSONALLY, I GET VERY BORED OF IT.
