Clearly you didn't bother to read the rest of the thread. As I said before, I am inexperienced and don't know what these abbreviations mean. What does Ftr mean???What on earth does it mean! I hate to say this but if you use abbreviations your comments don't mean anything to me because I don't know them. How do I know what I should change if you give me it in DMspeak? Its bit like me just suddenly talking in japanese and expecting you to understand. Sorry but it annoys me greatly when people do that. It makes me feel so rubbish and stupid and idiotic.
Ftr is the common abbreviation for Fighter. Yes, I understand that it can take a while to get used to the jargon being thrown around, but taking your frustration out on those who are trying to help is rarely conducive to further assistance. ;)

Regarding 1/2 damage versus no damage from weapons... the typical way to attack a swarm is through magic or via fire-based attacks. A flask of oil or Alchemist's Fire could very well take out your entire swarm with some lucky damage rolls. This tactic is well known to experienced players, and should likely be expected to be known to 3rd level adventurers. If your players aren't aware of this, you can give them a Knowledge (Nature) skill check to let them figure it out. So it's a fairly standard encounter, even with the immunity against weapon damage, hardly an "invincible bug swarm".

Overall, the swarm is shaping up pretty well now.

The save is a DC18 Fortitude check. The White lady butterfly uses a poison similar to that of a hellwasp although it is significantly less potent. Another added effect of the poison is to cover the enemy in small, sore blisters.
The initial damage is 1d6-2 and the secondary damage is 1d6

Some advice for cleaning the poison up a bit:
-- Initial and secondary damage: is this hit point damage or some sort of ability damage? Many poisons deal ability damage (a minus to Str, Dex, or Con being the most frequent), so it may be good to specify “initial damage 1d6-2 hit points / secondary damage 1d6 hit points”.

-- The small, sore blisters: adding a bit of an effect for these may be useful. Pulling from previous comments: something such as “those failing the initial Fortitude save are afflicted by small, painful blisters, which cover their body for the duration of the poison. These blisters make moving very painful, and all afflicted are reduced to ½ movement for the duration. (This would also make it easier for the swarm to stay in an opponent's square, as they would not be able to move away as quickly.)

I do like the idea of the carnivorous butterflies. It is certainly not behavior that most would expect from butterflies ;) An encounter with these may even be traumatic for certain elves or other fae :)

One other thing I noticed:

You have "Special Attacks: Distraction" in the statistics block, but it is not defined in the description.

Thanks sooo much!!! I don't undestand why I didn't explain distraction. I could have sworn it was there but no. I forgot. Oh well, I will explain (propbably triggering hundreds of suggestions because of my, ahem, somewhat flawed monster style) distraction and I will add blisters effect again. Infact I might even use the very text you used... Anythin' else??
P.S You also seem to have a smilie when saying that elves or feys might be traumatised. Do you hate feys and elves or something. To be honest I think most of the feys in the MM (I used Jargon!!!) are pretty stupid like the Nixie or the one that's half cricket. The thought of them screaming in terror as the butterflies close in on them is actually highly amusing. I'm giggling slightly just thinking about it. I am evil aren't I. :]

Sorry Conaill. I just get frustrated.... Oh and also about the invincible bug thing. Does that mean that it IS fair to make them immune to weapon damage. Oh GOODY!!!!!!
Those PCs are in real trouble now........That will be changed.
P.S Sorry again P.P.S Sorry again (I suffer from guilt)

(sorry for triple posting) It is changed!! Now those over confident PCs will get the shock of their lives (and will probably moan and whinge) as their puny weapons just bounce of my not quite so invincible bug swarm!!! Thanks Conaill and sorry again. Oh yeah and Thanks for ignoring my somewhat tactless and to be honest unfair outburst. I can't expect you to memorise everything that has been said already on a thread that you've only just seen. I just lost it. Sorry (again!)

The Special Ability Hatch eggs allows the swarm to create butterfly eggs that will hatch in 1d6 hours.

Some further clarification of this ability would be a good idea. How often can the swarm lay eggs? Does it need a special environment in order to use this ability – perhaps fresh corpses?

Ah -- reading the initial description, I do see where you say they lay eggs on their victims. I still think including specifics in the ability description would be a good idea.

What a GREAT Idea! I actually said that and then I never bothered to think that I could put it into the ability description. And how often they lay them. Man these monsters are complicated

P.S Conaill look somewhere above to see my apology. I love apologising. Sorry.

There that's done. Anythin else??

P.S Conaill please look above for several apologies regarding my frustration (I will keep saying this until you accept my apology. I could be here for some time...)
