Maybe it's just me, but I feel a bit irritated by the amount of people complaining about rules or material which aren't yet included in the playtest package(s).
Things such as your favourite race, your favourite class, your favourite monster, your favourite spell, fluff descriptions of alignment or monsters or anything else, your most wanted optional module or rules for special scenarios...
Just because it ain't in the playtest doesn't mean it won't be in the game, although the risk that something not as common as the iconic classes and races ends up in supplement rather than core exists. But the playtest current stage must only get the kernel of the game right, the right feel and balance, and how different parts of the game connect.
If they put too much meat on the grill now, playtesting will be spread on too many elements at once rather than focusing on how each type of element work, so think of it this way: less material now means stronger testing on such material, means stronger testing on the additional material we'll get later including your favourite stuff.
