Plot hooks with WotC Map o' the Week Mega-map

I've seen better maps created by random generation. If I really felt the need to make something that only I as the DM would see have color and wizzbang, I'd break out Paintshop Pro.

It's been ages since I saw a good map for a dungeon in a professional product.

I6 Ravenloft. Now THAT was a map.

Here are some other possible locations for hidden map sections:

In the sarcophagus of Skentotep VIII, last ruler of the lost desert kingdom of Shuya.
In the den of a pack of dire (pack)rats.
The prized heirloom of a noble house, the last member of which is a mad recluse.
In a shrine that's guarded by cannibals on a jungle island.
 

As for a reason for having to find all the pieces of the map, how about this:

THe dungeon exists on a weird demi-plane. The sections of the dungeon only EXIST if you have possesion of the appropriate map piece.
