Plz help me with a druid challenge

If the PC's have time to prepare, pick something that accentuates the unique spells that Druids get. Lots of good ones at 2nd level, like Tree Shape, Summon Nature's Ally or Flame Blade.

"You must cut down the largest tree in the forest... with... a HERRING."

Magic Fan makes the Herring a +1 weapon....

This is a little off-topic but...

I once had a Bonsai treant "ally" travelling with the party I was DMing. They carried him around in a little pot. Hehe, maybe that can give ya some sort of idea to work off of, I don't know

You could always have him seek out a dryad in the forest whose tree is threatened by loggers. Killing the loggers is not the solution as more loggers will follow... The druid will have to be creative to come up with a solution that saves the dryad and educates the loggers as to what they are doing. Or the druid could become the enemy of the loggers but win the admiration of the forest folk?
