Point Blank Shot and Far Shot

Sorry IceBear, you're wrong.

Charge is a special standard action in the PHB and a full-round action in the released SRD.

As I pointed out, it amounts to the same thing. Since the FRA version includes the move as part of the action, you could draw a weapon.

There are two things "special" about charging: you must move and you may move up to twice your movement instead of only one times your moevment as normal.

A normal standard action lets you take a MEA instead of your move - you can't do that with a charge becasue you are required to move.

It doesn't really matter at all whether you think of charge as a special standard action or a full-round action, the effect in game terms is identical as I already showed.

If anyone is still confused about this, please start a new thread. We did, indeed, thoroughly hijack this one, and anyone else with an opinion on this wouldn't even know where to find this discussion.

Hmmmm - ok, I misunderstood you Artoomis I didn't realize that the released SRD has charge as a Full Round Action (given that no other published source has it that way - I don't think CoC has it as a Full Round Action - I'd think that this was an error in the SRD). Anyway, as you say it's virtually the same thing, so no point on continuing to discuss it in this thread.
