Poison, any weapon?

I'd say so. I imagine that a whack with a club upside the head is good enough to split the skin and allow the poison to infect the person. I don't have my books with me so this may not be the "official ruling."

Heh. I always found it amusing in prior editions where Clerics weren't allowed to use edged or pointed weapons, to avoid spilling blood.

What exactly did they expect a footman's flail to achieve, when swung at high velocity into someone's face? :)

I recall from an ancient history book that some orders or warrior-monks (probably around the Crusades) prohibited the use of edged weapons because of the blood thing. I think there was a picture of a japanese dude with a big club, though, so it might nt be crusades. IMC the clerc took a level of fighter and EWP bastard sword, so he's shedding blood...
