poison immunity

Some creatures have Poison Immunity as a trait. Devils fall into that category.

Some gain it through an item, spell or class feature. A Periapt of Proof Against Poison can be taken or broken. A spell, such as Delay Poison or Heroes' Feast can be dispelled or simply allowed to expire. (It's amazing how many players don't keep track of the hours, or like to pretend that the 12 hour duration of Heroes' Feast is actually 24.)

For those you can't wait out or Dispel, look at diseases, curses and parasites. Rot Grubs are so easy to slip into an adventure of any level. There used to be a kind of leech that would conceal itself in drinking water, then attach inside the drinker's throat.

Is there any way to get past poison immunity?

As a player? Only if the DM wants you to.

Let's say undead are immune to poison. You ask the DM, "How do I poison an undead?" Assuming your character has the resources to know the answer, he's going to answer one of two ways:

1) No. It's says right there undead are immune to poison. Everyone knows undead are immune to poison.
2) You get a special magical poison that works on undead things. It's called X, and it has the special rule: "This poison works on undead in violation of the normal rules." It's made from the seeds of the Golden Apples of Fire that are guarded by a triple HD Solar on the Positive Elemental Plane.

If the poison immunity isn't an inherent trait, then you attack it by getting rid of the thing that grants the poison immunity.

If you are the DM. Do what you want. You get to make the answers.

Are you talking about Ravages?

BOED has Ravages, which are exactly like poisons, except not poisons, since theyre holy substances that only affect evil creatures. Again, they're not poisons.

Ok. So that's completely different. These are poisons. Only for undead. Totally different. Now that I'm actually thinking about how this might work, more like this maybe:

"There's nothing more horrible than the bite of the sprouter. Its deadly stinger spreads a green disease through every calcified pore on your body leaving you veined with roots and flocked with grass steadily growing thicker and thicker until you crash and bloom out in a horrifying bouquet of pain and fragrant suffering screaming until your mouth fills with petals and your nostrils shoot out thorny stems and the bulbs sprout in your eyes leaving you nothing but a patch of wildflowers on the ground, swarming with butterflies." - Salvador "Sal" Limones, Grim Fandango

Basically i'm playing in an evil group and i am an assassin i may like to keep my options open to poison or kill others in my party...lol but heroes feast totally negates my poison abilities. Like to know ways of getting around things like poison immunity. thx
