I searched around the Pokemon site and elsewhere on the Web, but I can't find an answer to this rule question. The official forums require setting up an account, and I just don't have time for that right now. So I hope someone here is versed in the Pokemon rules, and can answer this question.
Is a level X Pokemon considered an a "Stage Evolution"? That is, can my Dialga use:
"You may return all Energy cards attached to Dialga to your hand. If you do, remove the highest Stage Evolution card from the Defending Pokémon and shuffle that card into your opponent's deck."
to remove a level X from my opponent's Pokemon?
