Where are the Evil Dead movies?
Evil Dead
Evil Dead 2
Army of Darkness

:D

Mummy movies too.

While I like and think LotR is the best overall, I went with Indy, I just love the type and characters.

Gotta go with Lotr. Star Wars kicks major ass, but Lotr is the most powerful IMHO. It shaped me more than Star Wars ever could when I was a kid. The raw human emotion in it blew me away more than space battles did. :)

BTW, I'm kinda surprised that the Terminator trilogy didn't make it in the thread as well. And does Harry Potter count because only three have come out so far, or no?

Back to the Future suffers from a boring third part.
Indiana Jones suffers from a boring first part.
There's only one Matrix.
Star Wars has Ewoks.

So I had to go with LotR. :)

You found Raiders of the Lost Ark boring? Or are you talking about Temple of Doom, since it was chronologically first?

Either way, I've never heard anyone describe these movies as boring.

This was such a hard one. I had to go with LotR, just because of its grandeur and the fact that I have never read the books, so each one was new to me.

I almost went for the BttF series though. I bought the series for my lad, and I was surprised how well they hold up today, even though they must be getting long in the tooth now. They stand up to the test of time much more so than the Indy movies.

LotR-a-chu, I choose you!

How many on the list, and of those mentioned that aren't on the list, were meant from the beginning to be trilogies?

Star Wars

I gotta say Star Wars beats LOTR. The force was just so much cooler than Gandulf's staff flashlight IMO. And I didn't care for the 3rd matrix, and in Back to the future he kissed his mom so that one went right out. :)

1. Star Wars
2. The Man with no Name Trilogy(if you want to count it if not then move the rest up one)
3. The Godfather Trilogy
4. Indiana Jones
5. The Lord of the Rings (Haven't seen #3 yet though, but I can't see it moving up much higher than 4.)
6. The Matrix (Enjoyed them all, but the third one the least)
