She should die.
Then her player and Marcie's new spoil-sport boyfriend should die on Ms Frost's Dianic altar to power more mind-bondage spells.

Blackleaf should not die to begin with. Obviously Blackleaf was a kickass PC and the DM should have an angel appear and save her at the last second.

But the player should still die. I'm thinking death by a mass murdering clown would be appropriate.

In the proper spirit of the new site, the fate of Blackleaf must be determined as follows:

Roll d6 and compare the result with the table below:
1 - Blackleaf must die
2 - Blackleaf gets a second search roll
3 - Blackleaf is Raised from the dead
4 - Blackleaf's corpse becomes one of the undead
5 - Blackleaf returns as a 4e Iconic PC
6 - Elfstar dies in Blackleaf's place

I vote option 5.

How about Black Dougal? Is he still alive?

You can find a reference to Black Dougal in DCC #35: Gazetteer of the Known Realms by Goodman Games. It seems he has more lives than a black cat... his unfortunate death by poison needle in the Basic Set was just one of several early career mis-steps by the legendary thief. :)

Blackleaf is dead - but her spirit lives on in the new novel by Ed Greenwood.
"Blackleaf, consort to Elminster"
Also there is a talk of a tribute album and maybe a TV movie of the week.

And all this time, people were worried about Satan  Clearly, they should have been worried about Ed Greenwood
