DM or Player?

Which are you?

If you are both, then which do you prefer?

One of the reasons I ask is to get a feel for the community here... I am going to guess DMs outweigh Players... but we'll see.

I like both, I do both, but I'm a player in more sessions than I am a DM. In our group of 8 we have 3 people who DM regularly (me included) and 1 or 2 who DM a campaign only once in a while.

4e is making me like DMíng a lot more than I used to though...

Always the bridesmaid (DM), never the bride. It's been so long since I've Played DND that I've forgotten what it is like <sigh>...

DM. I've actually been accused of being a BAD player!

Mostly because I am unaccustomed to not being involved directly in the game for a majority of game time and my mind wanders away. :)

Is this poll for D&D people only, or can any system join?

I can't honestly be sure which I'd choose. I've only ever played. I'd like to GM, but I'm not sure I could pull it off. Still I'd rather not vote until I've tried both.

I GM about 95% of the time. I enjoy it and, if I need a break, I have a player willing to run something else to give me a breather. So, I have no complaints.

And, for what it's worth, I do think that the community is predominantly DM- at least among the active posters.

I've been GMing (D&D, oWoD, a few other things here and there) pretty much nonstop since 97 or so. In that time I've only managed to regularly play maybe two - three times. GMing is my passion, but I do like to play whenever I can. (ATM I'm running my homebrew and playing in another game so I'm pretty much set. :D)
