I can take the heat klugie. Especially since I offered, I don't know and Other as alternatives.

So far I'm impressed. Gothos and Scarred Lands. I'd have to agree, Psion who WOULD have thought THAT?!

Don't get me wrong. I think H:ROE is cool, with the dreamer concept and all (though the classes with an extra point of BAB at first level make me wince...), but I just didn't think it had the kind of market penetration to do well in a poll like this, like Scarred Lands, Kalamar, and (of course) the WotC titles.

Edit: I just noticed that the inevitable call to arms has been sounded over on the KoK board. I just want to note that at this moment, Scarred Lands is in the lead. :)

Well I agree there. It certainly didn't seem like it would have staying power, but there is!

Well even if it doesn't last, I STILL got to see the REAL cover art for R&R2. I'm happy with that. :)

While I think our setting is cool too I don't disagree with you Psion, we do not have the market penatration of White Wolf/ SSS or Kenzer regardless of which product is better or not. We do have a fairly strong internet fan base though. I am pleased to see us up there with these guys. This is a vision of things to come! Last time a poll like this was done we were not even mentioned. Look at us now and wait till next year.

Weird Wars... Deadlands... Umbragia and other Enworld collaborative settings.
Just too many that aren't on the list. :)

I voted Scarred Lands for now, but once I get my hands on Slaine I'll probably change it to that. I don't think its even out yet at least I didn't see it at the store this weekend.

Slaine is based on 2000AD Celtic hero. Looking forward to playing a warped warrior or real druid. Hopefully rules for leylines, loadstones and leyser guns will be in the rule book, as well as time travel and the giant invisible worms that are about half the size of the planet and feed on people fear will be in there somewhere with the three-legged demon chap.

Nice.

Gothos on par with Scarred Lands?

Who'd a thunk it? Guess ENnie nominations got more people to look at it, eh? :)

As much as Dragonstar turns my Shadowrunning crank, I HEART Gothos and the ability to change the world around you. Beautiful.
Oh yeah, and of course, yay ENnies!
I HEART the ENnies!

I have to go with the Forgotten Realms, mainly because they are the most supported setting. If a DM wants to run right out of the box, so to speak, you can't beat the Realms. On the other hand, if you are looking for a setting from which to steal ideas, the Realms still come out on top in my book. Scarred Lands and Rokugan come in a close second. Had they been around as long as the Realms, I suspect my vote would be different, but old habits die hard as they say.
