22, here.

Wow, alot of us are 20-50 range. How is WotC going to bring in young blood? They're so hooked w/there MMO's and GTA's and Halo's.

I imagine that has more to do with the forum than with the age of the general players.

Been playing since '77.
Skipped 2nd ed, and 3rd brought me back.

I am loving what I am seeing in 4th. :)

Ditto. Plan to continue in my 3.x campaigns and transition to Pathfinder RPG next year.

Dang. I feel like a young'n.

14 if you ask people who know me, 20 to everyone else. I started at 16, playing on the tail end of 3rd, and moving very quickly into 3.5 when I saw how much better it was.

I have my books ordered, and I can't wait.

And I agree, MMO's suck. Badly.

About to turn 47 next mohth. I'll (almost certainly) be buying the 3 4e books but have no intention of playing 4e (your poll isn't quite finely-tuned enough to reflect this).

I just want to plunder the ideas for the game I already have. :)

Ha. I hear you there, except it's "if you ask everyone else", and 27, respectively. :P (No one believes me when I say I'll be 27 next month until I show them the ID.)

I'm 23. I started with the red box, after picking it up at a garage sale, so I've played every edition. The 4th Ed books are on pre-order, and my campaign prep is in high gear!

I'm very pleasantly surprised to see that I'm one of the Great Old Ones at 41.

It's good to see more than a third in their twenties. Maybe the hobby's not dying after all.

I'd be interested to see the UK spread, though - it may be different from the US one.

18 here although most of my group is in their 30s-40s. At my LGS there are two roleplaying groups, one is juniors and the other is adults. The juniors are all around 14 and I played with them for a while but the DM saw that it really wasn't working. They were all treating it like warhammer while I wanted the proper experience. I've been playing computer RPGs for a long time and knew what was involved so I got invited to the adults group. Which feels slightly weird but I've been enjoying it a lot more since.

4e looks like its going to be big here. Owner of the shop says its the biggest single order he's ever had to make. 30+ people are going to the preview on release day and most of them have pre-ordered the books. Not to mention all the people who have ordered but won't be there on the day.
