[Dire Bare]

(1) We should have kept Dungeon and Dragon as paper magazines.
(2) We should have kept the core races and classes the same.
(3) We should have had our licensing goobledegook in order and ready.
(4) We should have had DDI ready in time with the release of the game.

Heh, I'm pretty sure everyone at WotC would agree with #3 and #4! The best laid plans . . . .

Heck, there may even be a secret few at WotC who might agree with #1!!

Once we have the PHB2, #2 above will be fulfilled (mostly) . . . although I agree they should have offered all the classic player options right out of the gate. You can give us Dragonborn and Warlords right away, but you shoulda also given us the Bard, Half-Orc and etc right away also. Maybe even the gnome.

I hereby spawn a new cliche from the old "drinking the Kool Aid"... when someone claims an older version of something is better because of their nostalgia, they are "drinking the Ovaltine".

Extra points if referring to someone condemning a newer version for selling out when the older one was just as commercial.

(No comment on how this applies to D&D edition wars, of course, I just think "You sure drank the Ovaltine" deserves to be a catchphrase.)
