Poll: What's your favorite gaming night?

Hello and welcome The Hound,

Saturday or Sunday every fortnight - usually 11 until late on a Saturday or 8pm on a Sunday. Except this coming Easter weekend where its Friday until Sunday - let's see how long we last doing an all nighter. Our group (see my story hour below if you want a good dramatic laugh based on our game) is 30+ and married with the oldest tipping in at 53. This is really a case of all of us going back to our youth so it should be fun. I still don't know how I got permission from my wife but anyway :)

Best Regards
Herremann the Wise

Sunday! Sunday! SUNDAY!

We game Sunday evenings usually beginning around 7 or 8 PM or so. Given that we're all in our early 20's and half of us are unemployed, there's really no worry about jobs or classes. Those of us that do work or go to school tend to be able to swing only getting a few hours sleep anyway.

Gaming on Sunday night is sort of our way of closing out the weekend with a bang instead of a whimper. Instead of just sitting around as it gets late and you have to resignedly slink into bed, we have a blast gaming as our way of wringing the last bit of fun out of the weekend.

Monday nights for the past 10 years.

We all work, but it's the only night that no-one has anything else on. It's also nice to have something to look forward to on what is usually the least fun day of the week.

Cheers,
Liam

Gaming night used to be MOnday but a few weeks back it got moved to Sunday. As for why, those are the only two nights that everyone can get together on a weekly basis.

My group plays Tuesday night.

We ruled out the weekend nights because we enjoy other activities. Saturday during the fall we all went to the football games (We're in college). The other week day nights we all had various activities we are involved with.

Tuesday nights work best for us. My wife would freak if I dedicated a weekend day or night to gaming. Same goes for the rest of my group.

Friday's are my favorite night, but realistically, there's too much other stuff going on on Fridays. We have a really hard time scheduling more than one Friday every six weeks or so that we're all available for my Eberron game.

For my homebrew game with (mostly) the same group, we meet once every two weeks on Tuesday with Thursday as a backup night.

Sure, we can't get as much done on a weeknight, because we can't go as long, but we sure get to meet a lot more often.
