D&D 4E Poll: Who Would LIke to See the Drow in 4E PHB?

I would, if not for the fact that we already have 2 elf-like races in PHB (elf, eladrin). 3 is a little too much for my taste.

But I'd love to see githyanki

I hate drow and recommend sending authors who include drow in their works to the Yakuza for discipline. One way or another, they'd stop writing about drow.

Edit: No, not seriously, but I would like to see them removed from all core books.

We really do not need the Elf, Half-Elf, Eladrin, (Half-Eladrin?!)

Half-eladrin make a lot more sense than the new version of half-elf. Personally, I'm hoping there are no half-breeds in the new PHB.

I'd prefer not to see the drow in the first Player's Handbook, for two reasons:

1) Standard drow fanboys annoy me;

2) Eberron drow are very different, and it just adds to the workload for Eberron players and DMs to come to grips with another altered core race.

On the other hand, given that the new edition is revamping the "story" elements of the game, maybe standard drow will be reimagined in a much less irritating manner?

I'd prefer not to see the drow in the first Player's Handbook, for two reasons:

...and I stopped being a drow fanboy about 6 years ago. But I concede your point; most of the drow fans are a bit, um, eccentric. Yeah. That's the word. But thankfully, these kids have moved on to thri-kreen monks...

I like the drow...they are my favorite nasties, and I like the the "evil turns to good" story element that a drow PC could bring to the game. When 4E is released, I am going to start a whole new campaign, and I think I am going to make the drow the main enemy of the story. Putting them in the PHB would save me the trouble of typing up a handout for my players.

I've been sick of drow for about a decade, but I don't really care if they're in the PHB. My games don't generally include every core option, anyway.
