If you were to use this spell to turn a bone of an animal into a live version of the same animal, what would the duration be? TIA.

I would say 3 hours. Same size and related. The dead version is no longer an animal and has no intelligence; it is an object. The example given in the RAW is human to marionette. <snip sentence that was not accurate>

Code:
Changed Subject Is:	Increase to Duration Factor
Same kingdom (animal, vegetable, mineral) +5
Same class (mammals, fungi, metals, etc.) +2
Same size +2
Related (twig is to tree, wolf fur is to wolf, etc.)	+2
Same or lower Intelligence +2

Duration Factor	Duration	Example
0	20 minutes Pebble to human
2	1 hour Marionette to human
4	3 hours Human to marionette
5	12 hours Lizard to manticore
6	2 days Sheep to wool coat
7	1 week Shrew to manticore
9+	Permanent Manticore to shrew
Interesting use. Would a recent corpse count as same kingdom/class? It would be same size getting you to 3.

What is the reaction of a created creature, neutral, indiferent, vary by alignment?
I was wondering if you created a metalic dragon in the presence of a cromatic dragon, would it attack, flee, hang around to asses the situation?

I would consider a bone to be in the animal kingdom, but a fossil of a bone to not be.

That would make bone to an animal of what it's a bone of to be 1 week.
