I had one vendor complain they didn't want their numbers broadcast like that. So maybe something more generic would work better... I'm torn on the topic.

I thought the numbers were valuable -- and educational -- to the industry and other publishers. But what you have in place now also works so it isn't a big deal.
 

I've really enjoyed having the numbers in place. It reminds me as a customer that if I like I product that has not sold well I should be trying to recommend it more to others.

As another vendor I really don't have an issue with the numbers. Whilst our sales may not be anything compaired to the platinum vendors, I felt a touch of pride in the succuesses we have had and spurred to do even better.

Also the rather bland metal designation really does tell much unless the customer is aware of what they mean.
