I just went with the fact that wizards cast spells with elemental effects, plus some shadow, illusion and necromatic at least at low levels. In R&C they say that the bigger and better spells of these types are being reserved for the appropriate classes down the line.
Still, that's hardly encompassing. Wizards are also famous for using force-themed magic, at low levels as well as above, and I have trouble seeing why Mage Hand, Magic Missile, Force Orb, Telekinesis, etc. should inherently need to be flavored as derived from other worlds.

As i stated in the OP I'm unfamiliar with Psionics as they were, matter of fact have never used them in my games. In another game, Bureau 13 we had psionics and they were called talents.
I'd think past D&D usage would take precedence over the Bureau 13 game. Wizard of the Coast’s d20 Modern game had a little Bureau 13 over it, but even there the lingo with psionics was still “powers” and “manifesting”.

Ah well, guess we'll find out soon enough. :)

Good points all!
Dunamin, I'm open to any changes, I just didn't know what psionics were called in D&D as I don't have any of the books from 3.x for psionics.

MaelStorm, I think the illusionist may kill the Beguiler and steal it's stuff or vis-versa.

I'll make some changes.

Ooh, I like "boons" and "rites". Brief and spiffy!

Are those names speculations or have they been mentioned somewhere?

Speculations.

Sorry I deleted that bit.

For the sake of the thread it was:

Primal is to boons, and Shadow is to Rites as Divine is to Prayers and Arcane is to Spells.

I had just been saying that the only categories I'd seen mentioned by WotC were Divine, Martial, Arcane, Shadow, Primal, Psionic, and Elemental. Though that last wasn't mentioned as a source I'm just guessing that that was what it was referring to given the context.
