Awww ... don't worry Harmon. :)

We're just clowning around a bit.

Don't take us too seriously.

Oh yes ... congrats on getting to second level, btw. ;)

I know. Thanks. :D Seems a bit funny that no one has mentioned the black out writing, don't you think? Which would indicate that my post was in fact meant as a joke.

Hmm ... I am in PHB view mode. Maybe it is not as obvious in this mode? :\

Oh, THAT! Oh...the judge told me not to do that anymore or I would spend a lot of time in jail. :(

That is one of the nice things about being an 8 foot purple fungus. Nobody bothers you if you stand out in the rain in your birthday suit.

Heck ... nobody bothers you at ALL. :\

I see these threads about people finally having X number of posts or "I'm finally X level" but I don't get it. Why is it important to you to have a post count of X? Doesn't it just prove that you have no life away from gaming and posting on EN World?

Personally I think its more impressive to have been a member for four years and have 200 posts, it proves that you have other things that keep you busy in life- like maybe showering, or getting out of your parents basement, or going to the gym, or I don't know- anything else.

:D One more post towards my 3rd level!

Postcount = postcount+1

It's important because once you get to 5,000 posts, an admin or moderator will personally buy you a beer.*

Back to the OP ... Join date is almost as meaningless as postcount. I mean, so somebody joined a week ago and they already have 1,000 posts. What about a person who joined 4 years ago and only has 65 posts?

My point is that value, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. I tend to respect people's opinions much more when i see they've gotten over 1,000 posts. It usually means they've been around ENWorld to know how things work.

That being said, I don't ignore people with less than 1,000 posts, either. Postcount doesn't always indicate having something important to say. But don't fall into the trap of thinknig that join date implies more or less than the number of posts.

...

And regarding this shower thing. I'll shower as often as my wife wants when she joins me! Other than that, I tend to post on ENWorld much more than I shower. My postcount shows that much over the same time span!
