As noted in the opposite thread I doubt I'll be making my final decision before having the books in hand. I am interested in a game that is NOT 3E, but for myself 1E currently holds as much interest in that vein as 4E.

I'll be using 4e's basic rules, but all races, classes, feats, powers, magic items, ect. are subject to change. Fluff will be a mix of 3e, 4e and anything me, or possibly my players can come up with or take from assorted other sources.

I'll be picking up the books, even if I only wind up harvesting the rules for crunchy bits to steal for my own nefarious plans. 4e has a good shot of becoming my D&D of choice, but worst case scenario, I take the 4e design team's best ideas for myself and run with them.

Possibly. I have at least one campaign waiting to do at least a rough approximation of Master of Many Forms, and Melee Built Bard/Swashbuckler/Duelist before we switch.

That said, I will still play Iron Heroes and run Castles and Crusades and Savage Worlds.

Yep, here they are. Right next to those things Halaster used to keep around. These psychic mechanical lobsters have been getting pretty rusty since DWARF became so well behaved.
