It would be nice it post count could list the number of posts in which the poster actually contributed something useful. Quality, not quantity.

You can't be serious. It wouldn't be nice. It would be rude. "Forcing" quality doesn't create quality. Also practically impossible. And by whom and how would that be decided? Ugh.

You actually thought I was being serious?

Of course it's ridiculous and impossible to implement. But my point stands that quantity doesn't equal quality. However, as useless as it is, high post count does get attention, even though it's easy to inflate one's postcount with inane banter.
 


Quantity can still be an amount of quality. Say, someone has a busy life and can't hang around long, so he posts as much of an adventure as he is able. And later some more, etc. ;)
