Potion-drinking for Dummies

Do you really have to drop a 2-handed weapon? I have always figured that you can hold and carry a 2-handed weapon just fine with one hand. You only need 2 hands when you want to fight with it. Is this wrong according to the rules?

IIRC, its a free action to free a hand from a 2-handed weapon, and another free action to put your hand back on your 2-handed weapon.

He said two-weapon fighters, Lamoni, not two-handed weapon fighters. If you've got a sword in each hand, you have to drop one to yank out a potion.

Best way to drink potions is with one of these babies:

Thanks, and sorry about that. I was not very alert when I read the post and replied to it. I should refrain from posting when I have had very little sleep.

Here's something else to think about, drawing a weapon as part of your standard move action is a free action, as is strappin' on a shield. So if your hands are empty, and you move your standard length, would you be able to draw two potions from your belt instead of the regularly alotted one? I'm thinking not, but I don't see how it'd be any harder than trying to strap a shield to your arm while also trying to hold onto the longsword you just drew ;)

Nah, just get yourself a Howards Handy Camelback, holds 5 potions free actions to drink, don't mix them though and once you fill it up with something other than water you can never get rid of the taste :)
