Potion of Truestrike?

The imbiber of the potion is both the caster and the target. Spells with a range of personal cannot be made into potions.
Wow, as more and more people ask for clarifications about 3.5, I have found many rules that I've broken b/c I've just assumed that it worked the same way as 3.0.

Thanks for the info, Hyp.

Ah good, I'm not that crazy (yet). It seems like putting that limitation under the Brew Potion feat would have been a good idea...

Actually, I was always much more concerned about the potions of Divine Favor...

True Strike is nice, but this one was sick.

The problem is that True Strike is a spell designed to make it worthwhile to play a multiclass Wizard/Fighting Type.

I wouldn't limit it that much. True Strike is your best friend if you use a lot of ranged touch based spells, especially if you're facing opponents with concealment abilities like Blur or Displacement.

Potions of True Strike are not possible in 3.5 D&D. Check out "Brew Potion".

You've just given this piece of advice twice... it's not actually useful.

You're correct in that Potions of True Strike are not possible in 3.5, but "Check out Brew Potion" won't help. The text of the Brew Potion feat merely states that you can brew a potion of a spell that targets a creature; True Strike targets "you", and since "you" are a creature, the text of the feat doesn't prohibit it.

You should, instead, be telling people "Check out 'Magic Item Creation: Creating Potions' in the DMG", where it specifies that spells with a range of Personal cannot be made into potions.
