Power Attack/Leaping Charge attack

Hey all,

My question is in regards to using Power attack in combo with Leaping Charge/Attack (forget the exact name) from Complete Adventurer.

My barb uses a 2h sword. So, with a PA 10, that's 20 damage.

Leaping attack says it triples PA with 2h weapons.

BUT...is it tripling the PA or the damage from PA? In other words, after the PA and the LA, is the damage 30 or 60?

... you can double the extra damage delt by your use of the Power Attack feat. If you use this tactic with a two-handed weapon, you instead triple the extra damage from Power Attack.

Power Attack for 5.

One-handed weapon, normal attack: -5 attack, +5 damage.
One handed-weapon, Leap Attack: -5 attack, +10 damage.
Two-handed weapon, normal attack: -5 attack, +10 damage.​

"You instead triple the extra damage from Power Attack." Instead of what? Instead of doubling the extra damage because you're wielding a two-handed weapon. So you don't triple the +10 damage that you get from a -5 attack penalty; you triple the 1-for-1 Power Attack damage bonus.

Two-handed weapon, Leap Attack: -5 attack, +15 damage.​

Yeah, it also kills people with negative levels, does AoE fire damage, and cures CL*10 hp damage. Leap Attack, it slices, it dices, it removes the need for the rest of the party!

I'd rather full attack than Leap Attack. This feat just makes it easier to deal a little more damage when you move from one enemy to the next.

"Get Pounce" like it's a pound of hamburger at the supermarket? It takes some contortions to get it. And if it's a problem when they work in concert, I doubt the fault lies with Leap Attack.
