Shaman = Primal Leader
Druid = Primal Controller/striker

Plus: Sorcerer = Primal Controller

Barbarian - Primal Defender
Druid - Primal Striker
Shaman - Primal Leader
Sorcerer - Primal Controller
although the sorcerer could be classed as a striker also from the description in R&C.

While reading the new Dungeoncraft article (which I just love!), I found this:

So... this is basically a confirmation that there will in fact be a Primal Power Source (druids, barbarians, etc.) This hasn't been confirmed yet, right?

There are couple of revised stat cards for Night Below with Primal and Psionic as keywords (Heirophant of the Seventh Wind, Wulfgar, Dracotaur Rager, and Gnoll Claw Fighter with the Primal keyword and Kalashtar Bodyguard and Cerebrilith with the Psionic keyword) so I think those have been a done deal for a while.

Keep in mind that quote from the designer was based on his initial draft. It still had to go through several more people (and so the draft may morph in terms of roles and other stuff) -- but, yeah, initial writeup was stated as being a hybrid of 2 roles.
