[PR BAD AXE GAMES] Heroes of High Favor: DWARVES

Half-orcs are hot on the heels of the dwarves. (Natch!)

Andy has found a really nice, feral, savage look for the half-orcs. I hope you're not shy about half-orcs with tusks, claws, and horny bits. (No, no, the other horny bits...)

Half-Orcs eh?

This sounds fantastic. Half-Orcs have received very little in the ways of updates in 3rd ed. Do we have a timeline on this? I ask because I'm hoping it'll get a chance to incorporate some of the stuff from the Assassins book by Green Ronin.

I don't mean to rain on Wulf's parade again, really I don't, but Green Ronin itself has a book on Orcs and Half-Orcs planned for September, called Wrath and Rage. Jim Bishop, who is did a little extra development work on the Assassins book, is the author.

Wrath & Rage is another one of our OGL Interlink titles with Paradigm.

"Great minds think alike", at least in Spain we say so...

It seems Green Ronin and Wulf are having a severe case of great minds.

:D

Not a problem, Nicole-- although it IS news to me. (It's not yet on Osseum's list...) Now we just have to wait for Mongoose to announce a half-orc book in August and everything will go according to plan. :)

I continue to expect that there won't be too much overlap of content, and that they'll fit together nicely. Again, we have a pretty tight focus (favored class), full of crunchy bits aimed squarely at PCs, and we come in at $9.95.

I suspect folks who are really into half-orcs will find a way to buy both. ;)

Heh. We totally need to communicate more. :)

Man, how true is that!

Glad to hear you've settled into a tight focus for your books! I suspect that will serve you well.

Well I guess my question is then... can three companies have an interlock product? I'd love to see the network of communications, which apparently isn't top notch yet :D in the circles grow tighter as companies finalize their product plans more and more. This is apparently especially true now more than ever as it seems lines are being drawn in the sand (or at least some comments have made it seem that way) and strong branding could be a key factor in determining what is quality and what is another company book. If the Interlock series can brand itself as something that's going to be useful, regardless of who the publisher is, then everyone benefits.

I know it was too late for Hammer and Helm, but surely it's not too late for Half-Orcs... Yeah, that's the ticket.

Well, perhaps someone can do a quarter-orc sourcebook, then. I mean, after all, what if a half-orc mates with a full-blooded human again? Then what? :D

Of course, there's always room for the quarter-elf book, the three-quarter orc book (when a full-blooded orc mates with a half-orc), and the three-quarter elf. :D

Can half-flumphs be far behind?

Cheers!
