This is a great idea. Once you have the bugs worked out you might want to think of selling the engine behind this program.

Again this is one of the most original idea I have seen.

This really is a cool technology you've developed.{/quote]Thanks!
Are there any plans to include d20 Modern scenarios?
I would love to, but there is nothing currently in the works. We'll have to see what develops it's still pretty early.
edit: one more bit; is there a chance you'll include formats for DM Genie, Roleplaying Master, Campaign Suite, or DMF?
I'd have to look and see how difficult it is, but certainly it's a possibility, and a good idea to boot!

It looks really great, congratulations!

As an aside, I've been working on my own version of this for about a year and a half now, and while I wanted to be first to market, at least now I know we'll both have competition, resulting in better products for both, I'm sure.

Of course by taking so long to get my beta out, I'm gonna look like the copycat. :)

Again, congrats! Nice work!

Hey, I'm curious. A slight hijacking attempt here. What do people think about that block format vs stat block option? I was planning something similar for my adventure (due in March) and, well, since someone beat me to it, I'm curious if it is a good or bad idea?

I think it's far better than a stat block, certainly more readable. And it is just as non-standard as the stat block. I don't use the normal stat block anyway. (Alignment should be much earlier in the list, between CR and HD, not languishing at the bottom between SQ and SV.)

Thoughts?

I finally got to take a good look at the module I made better today... THIS, I really, really like.... I also really like the fact that you can fit one of these babies on a diskette...especially since my printer at home stays down most the time and the pcs at work do not have cdroms (yeah, I've got a few words in regards to that too)....
This rules...I'll definitely be buying these! In my opinion this is REVOLUTIONARY in regards to adventures.
:)

I'm Pro block format here; looks really keen and gives me nice little slots to write stuff in while running the scenario.
Right. A printed PDF adventure should have lots of little boxes for the DM to put notes into.

I am also curious about how people feel about the block format vs. the stat block format, although technically we're calling it the sheet format, because it looks like a character sheet. At some point I'll take a look at the logs and see what people are choosing, although since it defaults to the sheet format that may not give me any accurate information.

Actually it's a funny story because I hadn't really even thought of the sheet option, but then as I was developing and I needed to be able to quickly check and see if this option or that had made it to the stat block I got frustrated because it was so hard to quickly find something in the standard statblock, so I developed the sheet option mostly to help me quickly debug stuff. :)

Also as long as I'm posting, thanks for the compliments on the adventure and idea. It means a lot to have people react positively after all the effort we put into the project, and keep your eyes open there's more on the way!

im a block format kinda guy...give me instant stat blocks and my day is happy and good...csheet style is downright annoying at times....i don't mind printing a few extra pages of creatures with the same feats, skills, SA's due to the fact that i can see what they are right THERE and not have to flip around the book back and forth....

give us options ross!!!

ps. will you be accepting d20 modern products as well????
