I am also curious about how people feel about the block format vs. the stat block format, although technically we're calling it the sheet format, because it looks like a character sheet. At some point I'll take a look at the logs and see what people are choosing, although since it defaults to the sheet format that may not give me any accurate information.

Actually it's a funny story because I hadn't really even thought of the sheet option, but then as I was developing and I needed to be able to quickly check and see if this option or that had made it to the stat block I got frustrated because it was so hard to quickly find something in the standard statblock, so I developed the sheet option mostly to help me quickly debug stuff. :)

Also as long as I'm posting, thanks for the compliments on the adventure and idea. It means a lot to have people react positively after all the effort we put into the project, and keep your eyes open there's more on the way!

I like the sheet option myself....easy to grab the stats really quick with this format.

im a block format kinda guy...give me instant stat blocks and my day is happy and good...csheet style is downright annoying at times....i don't mind printing a few extra pages of creatures with the same feats, skills, SA's due to the fact that i can see what they are right THERE and not have to flip around the book back and forth....

give us options ross!!!

ps. will you be accepting d20 modern products as well????
I'm not going to be listening to any of your suggestions until I get some sort of agreement that you'll give me a character that doesn't completely suck at next years Against the Giants game at GenCon! ;)

In terms of d20 modern I'm open to the idea, but I haven't decided yet how that would work. Whether the D20 modern adventure would take the place of one of the regularly scheduled adventures (and idea I very much oppose, but it does mean that there would be no extra work). Would it be in addition to the regular adventures (i.e. this week we have two adventures for you!) or should I just start up a completely seperate e-zine called radioactivekobold.com and do exclusively d20 modern?

or offer in your downloads people to take on modern adventures. give them one fantasy and one modern to choose from. What do you mean that there would be no extra work??

I'm starting to itch for the next module... really, I am... this is not a good thing that you have created, these tweak em' yourself modules, more like an addiction....

I hope you look into offering a discount on rehab.

Speaking of discounts... though I'd say the account setups would be too much of a headache, what's the format once you've "bought" an adventure... you purchase the ability to set it up as you like once and then must pay full price again if you want another variant (say one setup for characters of 9th level instead of 5th level) will a person be paying full price again or will there be a discount... or will it be free once you've purchased the initial cost to own a module... thus letting one go back as many times as they like to tweak it as they wish?
Maybe this has already been stated and I'm too boggled out today to have noticed.

Then come the first week in February we start charging. It will be subscription based and a subscription will allow you access to all of the adventures both being published and in our archive. You can download a module as many times as you want until you feel like it's just right, there's no restriction.

:D Wil Upchurch's first adventure, for DireKobold.com, should be out on Tuesday of next week.

I mentioned this in another thread that basically you can try out an adventure as often as you like until you get it just right, if it starts to be abused I may put a throttle on it, but even then you'd be looking at being able to generate each adventure 10-20 times, which should be plenty.

That would be more than plenty for myself... if I could get two or three variants of each it would be more than plenty! Here I thought at one time (okay, slap me) that I was really beginning to like those "brochure" sized modules.... this takes the cake!
By the way, can we start signing/paying up now or will the orders for post freebie subscriptions open up in the next few weeks?
