PR Possessors

This 16-page PDF by Philip Reed and Christopher Shy presents a new monster for D20 campaigns, the possessors. An alien aberration that looks something like an octopus, possessors bite down over the heads of humanoids and use the bodies as a puppet.

This short PDF is a mix of artwork (14 sketches, 4 interior paintings, and the cover) and about 4,000 words of text. This is a very graphics-heavy PDF. This monster, all text and the visual appearance, is 100% open game content. While you cannot use the exact artwork in this PDF you can use the art as a guide and inspiration for creating your own.

Thanks.

I know this one will get complaints from the "No color!" crowd but since the goal was to present people with a new monster that they can use (appearance and all) I didn't care. I had a specific feel I wanted to get across and the graphics help promote that feel.

Okay, I'll post one later today.

I'm also going through and making some small fixes based on feedback and will be uploading a revision to RPGNow later today. As always, those who have already purchased the PDF will be sent a link to download the newest version.

These are very minor changes but it's best to make them now before too many people have purchased the PDF.

Ignore the no-color crowd. (Heck, I'm usually one of them.) And make sure you enter that piece into the layout/design category of the ENnies. (Is there one?) It should blow the doors off of even most WotC stuff put out this year.

Makes me want to go out and find an artist to work up a multi-eye-rayed terror.

If there is I'll be sure to enter it. I had a blast creating the graphics for the PDF. I rarely get to do stuff like that these days.

Christopher and I have already started playing around with the idea. We might just create something like this in a week or two.

Oh my lord this is beautiful. Much nicer to look at than many print products. I think I'm going to have to pick this up.

Nice work :)

Thank You

I appreciate the compliment. Before each PDF goes live I get nervous and wonder if this is the PDF that will go down as a waste of time and money.

I'm uploading the revised version now. It will probably be a few hours before it's available on RPGNow but once it is I'll update the product description and notify everyone who has already purchased a copy. The notification will include a link to download the revised version.

It's just a few small corrections and a new page of information covering two variations on the possessors.
