[PR] Unbidden, the RPG of Urban Lore and Secrets

Mark Bruno

First Post
Unbidden is a d20 System game of horror predicated on street legend and myth (called urban lore in the book) perpetuated by a displaced people seeking a sense of mission. They live in a world where violence and death are commonplace, and where it’s more to one’s advantage to grovel before the powerful and shun the weak, and where salvation is nowhere to be found.

This notion of urban lore is defined as the beliefs, stories, and traditions of once ordinary people (whom the Unbidden refer to as The Folk) who have been cursed with knowledge of how the way things really are.

What you won’t find in the game are the traditional urban legends that fuel people’s imaginations with tall tales of kidney thieves, alligators living in sewers, and serial killers with hooks. Rather, the game is based on the notion that urban lore is truth transmitted from person to person by oral or written communication and only adhered to by a subculture of people shunned by "normal" society.

The official web site for the game can be accessed at: http://www.angelfire.com/rpg2/mbruno/Unbidden.html

It contains information on what you'll find in the game, as well as a more detailed introduction to the setting. Unbidden is being written, developed and self-published by Mark Bruno, XPG Line Producer for Seattle-based RPG publisher Deep7.
